 Fred William Peet, 35, died unexpectedly at work Friday afternoon. He was born in Oswego, the son of the late Abran and Marie Peet on May 5,1941. He attended local schools and was employed by the Alcan aluminum Co. for the past 11 years. He served in the U.S. Army for three years. Mr. Peet was a supermodified race driver at Oswego Speedway and was instrumental in forming the Yellow Pages Drum and Bugle Corps and was corps director. He is survived by his wife, the former Sharon McManus, two sons, Fred Jr. and Raymond, at home; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Kay) Burdick of Oswego and a brother, Leo Peet of Oswego.
