Jim was a former resident of Oswego and retired from Niagara Mohawk where he worked for many years. Jim’s greatest love was racing and was a familiar face at Oswego Speedway. He was a driver, a mechanic, and a car owner for over 20 years. He moved to Arizona in 1995.

Some comments from Pinner's message board...

To the whole Muldoon family and friends, you are in our prayers. To say Jim was a great guy is a huge understatement. I was very fortunate to have worked with Jim and got to know him very well. God Speed Jim , you will never be forgotten.

Some of my earliest memories of the track were riding my bike down to Jim's house(every Saturday), loading up the #08 and the #80, getting in the truck and heading to the track with Jim. We would talk all the way there and it was a great time in my life. To say he was a great man was an understatement as Frank said. Thanks for the memories Scooter, you were a very caring man, that I will ALWAYS remember and I appreciate you accepting me into the Muldoon Racing family and having me love the supers they have been a huge part of my life because of you. Rest in peace Scooter, thanks again and I wish that I told you all this before now. I owe you a great deal. THANK YOU.
