Ken Fisher

- dates
Although he was involved in the sport for quite some time beforehand, Howard Purdy had initially come to Oswego Speedway in 1963 with driver Ken Fisher. It was over the offseason that he built his own car for 1964; the famed ‘Purdy Deuce’, debuted by Ronnie Lux late that year. Ken got a 2nd place finish in the '64 Classic aboard the Bob Wood owned No.4 roadster out of Buffalo. Fisher held the lead for 28 laps until Nolan Johncock forged ahead and maintained first place over the last 30 laps.
