The next day they traveled to Heidelberg in PA for their supermodified "Super Bowl". Having arrived late they missed the time trials but won the consi the following day. Bentley won the 150 lap race from the 26th starting spot in what would be his last ride in the Purdy Deuce. ---------------------------------- Pete Turford said... Doug Duncan built two rear-engine beauties. The first was built for the 1969 Oswego season. It was driven by John Spencer and was a front runner. The car was of monocoque construction and featured Indy quality workmanship throughout. The car had a best feature finish of 2nd and was a solid contender week in week out. Late in the season the car was destroyed in a wreck (on the Pocono 3/4 mile oval I believe).
